In February, we contacted you to make you aware that Clean Power Properties Limited (CPPL) would be submitting a Planning Application to South Lanarkshire Council for its site on Whistleberry Road, Hamilton. The site of the former Craighead School was granted planning permission from the Scottish Government for such a use in 2015.
The proposed development to be carried out is: Erection of an Energy Recovery Facility comprising a Materials Recovery Plant and Advanced Thermal Treatment Facility with an integrated education and visitor centre, access, landscaping and associated works.
CPPL is committed to the development of this site for an Energy Recovery Centre. The proposal represents an investment of £100million creating in the order of 150 job opportunities during construction and 30 full-time job opportunities on site during operation.
We write to you now to invite you to an exhibition of the proposals for the site.
