About us

Bothwell

Bothwell Community Council serve the pleasant, picturesque village which is centred in a conservation area, located between Hamilton and Glasgow, on the north east boundary of the River Clyde. There is easy access to the M74, M73 and M8 motorways. Bothwell has approx. 6000 residents and the Community Council is recognised as a valid tier of the government having direct links with the South Lanarkshire Council.

Bothwell Community Council is run for the benefit and representation of the community and we would ask members of the community to be part of helping to make decisions that effect all of us within the community.
